REACH The European Regulations on the Registration, Evaluation and Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals come into force during 2007. They apply to manufacturers and importers of chemicals above a threshold quantity of 1 tonne per annum (for each product). For existing chemicals they will be phased in over 11 years, providing that ‘pre-registration’ is completed between June and November 2008. There are also implications for downstream users of the chemicals. Services provided: • Advice to management on implications for your company, including downstream users. • Identification of raw materials, intermediates and products subject to the regulations • Assistance with pre-registration. • Advice on procedure to be followed for new chemicals not subject to the phase-in arrangements. Other services will follow as required by the timetable set in the regulations.
